Organisms: Today was very cold and there weren't many organisms out in the woods.  In the pond, there were a few ducks like last time.  I also noticed a lot of crows cawing off in the trees.  Besides that, the trails were very quiet.  Down by the pond, the cattails were dying off and they looked like the tops plus some of the stems were completely broken off.

Research Question: The trees were looking a lot like last time.  There weren't many leaves, and the leaves that were still on them had that crispy feel to them.  The tree 20 yards in lost the leaves at a rate of 6 per hour, while the one 30 yards away was losing them at a rate of 8 per hour.  For the most part, the leaf fall is following close to the same pattern as before.  The tree that is 30 yards away had a lot more leaves than the other one, so I think that was why they were falling more than the one that is closer to the water.
